Medical Tourism
Explained

Every person in the world should have access to qualitative dental services and modern technology to take care of their health. Throughout this service, Simoestet wants to support every person who wants to benefit from these services and this is why we thought about this Medical Tourism scheme. Find more details below.

Medical tourism can be defined as the process of traveling outside the country of residence for the purpose of receiving medical care. Originally, the term referred to the travel of patients from less-developed countries to developed nations in pursuit of the treatments not available in their homeland.

What really puts the word “tourism” in medical tourism concept is that people often stay in the foreign country after the medical procedure for sightseeing, taking day trips etc.

Today we are experiencing both qualitative and quantitative shifts in patient mobility, as people travel from richer to less-developed countries in order to access health services.

Such shift is mostly driven by the relative low-cost of treatments in less developed nations, the availability of inexpensive flights and increased marketing and online consumer information about the availability of medical services.

What exactly can you visit in
Neamt County?

Because of it’s geographical placement on the map and it’s surroundings, there are many tourist attractions in Neamt county. A simple search on Google would reveal beautiful places and areas that we are proud to have. Below we gonna suggest four of these attractions.

  1. Neamt Citadel is a medieval fortress located in north-eastern part of Romania, near Targu Neamt, Neamt County. It was built in 14th century Moldavia during Petru I of Moldavia’s reign and expanded in the 15th century. The citadel played a key role in Stephen III of Moldavia’s defense system, along with Suceava, Hotin, Soroca, Orhei, Tighina, Chilia and Cetatea Alba.
  2. Bicaz Gorge is a gorge in Romania, located in the north-east part of the country, in Neamt county; it is part of the Cheile Bicazului-Hasmas National Park. The gorge was excised by the waters of the river Bicaz and it serves as a passageway between the Romanian provinces of Moldova and Transylvania. It is a noted location to see the wallcreeper, an uncommon cliff-dwelling bird. The road along the 8 kilometres of ravines, often in serpentines with rock on one side and a sheer drop on the other, is one of the most spectacular drives in the country. Also within the gorge is Lacul Rosu (the Red Lake), with its traditional cabins, hotels, and its famous lake (situated at 980m altitude) caused by a landslide in the 19th century.
  3. The Ceahlau Massif is one of the most famous mountains of Romania. It is part of the Bistrita Mountains range of the Eastern Carpathians division, in Neamt County, in the Moldavia region. The two most important peaks are Toaca (1904 m altitude) and Ocolasul Mare (1907 m altitude). It is bounded to the east by the Bistrita River and Lake Bicaz, to the south by the Bicaz River.
  4. The Neamț Monastery is a Romanian Orthodox religious settlement, one of the oldest and most important of its kind in Romania. It was built in the 15th century, and it is an example of medieval Moldavian architecture. A jewel of 15th-century architecture, the church was built during the reign of Stephen III of Moldavia (1457–1504) and finished in the year when the Moldavian army won the battle against King John I Albert of Poland (1497).
